Christians: Two questions about the terms 'christianity' and 'bible'?

The validity of Christianity and the authenticity of the Bible do not hinge on whether or not those precise terms are used in Scripture itself. If one approached the Bible from a fundamentalist Christian perspective, then perhaps such an argument would be convincing. But for most Christians, it does not hold water.
