Is there an extra tax credit this year?

My friend works at Wal-MArt and a Jackson Hewitt booth is sat up there. She grabbed a brochure and read that the government was granting an extra tax credit for people who made less than $48,000 in 2009. But it doesn't say how else you would qualify and does every place due that? I have only filed taxes a few times and I have done it each time on Turbotax.com. Is turbotax.com going to know about this and is this legit? My friend isn't answering her phone and I was going to ask her to meet me with the brochure, but I am planning on filing today. What should I do?
