If excretory bodily organs were not physically close to the reproductive ones, could all toilets be uni?

If where you did No 1's and 2's out of were not located anywhere near the reproductive organs (eg you did a poo out of your big toe and pee out of your knee), would there still be a need for separate male and female toilets?
